How to Commission a Portrait
When
we
welcome
a
pet
into
our
homes,
they
immediately
become
part
of
our
much-loved
family.
We
love
them
and
their
funny
ways
and
the joy they give to us on a daily basis.
To
have
a
bespoke
portrait
of
your
pet
is
a
wonderful
way
to
display
them
as
a
precious
piece
of
art
and
when
they
are
gone,
these
portraits
are
a
unique
way
of
remembering
your
beloved
pet
and
are
a
beautiful
lasting
legacy
and
memory
of
your
pet,
to
cherish
them
when
they’ve
gone.
With
one
of
my
portraits,
you
can
immortalise
your
pet
forever
and
commissioning
a
portrait
for
a
loved
one
or
friend
is
a
very
personal
and
thoughtful
gift.
I
can
offer
the
option
of
having
some
of
the
animal’s
fur
felted
into
the
portrait
to
make
this
an
original
and
touching
memento
of
your
pet;
there
is
a
small
charge
for this additional work.
Here is some Guidance for you
I
hope
you
feel
able
to
choose
me
to
complete
your
portrait;
I
work
on
each
portrait
myself
which
takes
many
hours.
I
operate
a
waiting
list
which
you
may
need
to
join
and
generally
I
work
through
the
waiting
list
in
order,
so
to
clarify
when
I
would
be
able
to
complete
your
portrait,
please
contact
me;
special
requests
for
specific
occasions
are
taken
into
consideration.

Depending
on
workload
once
I
have
started
your
portrait
the
maximum
amount
of
time
you
would
have
to
wait
for
your
work
of
art
would
be
4
weeks
from
the
start
of
your
portrait
until
delivery.
If
you
would
like
the
portrait
for
a
specific
time
or
occasion,
please
contact
me
ASAP
so
that
I
can
try
to
make
sure you get your portrait on time.
Photo requirements
Please
remember,
I
can
only
create
a
portrait
that
is
as
good
as
the
image
you
provide
me
with
so
the
quality
and
accuracy
of
the
image
is
paramount.
Also,
a
variety
of
images
allows
me
to
better
understand
the
character
of
your
animal.
For
your
portrait
I
will
need
the
following:
1.
The
picture
of
your
animal
that
you
would
like
me
to
recreate,
the
higher
the
resolution
the
better
preferably.
Generally,
it
will
be
of
just
the
head
and
shoulders,
unless
we
have
discussed
a
full
animal
portrait.
This
should
be
taken
outside
if
possible,
in
shaded
natural
light,
rather
than
bright
sunlight
as
this
creates
too
many
shadows,
and
if
possible
taken
from
your
pet's
height
in
order
to
provide
the
best perspective
2.
The photo must be a clear photo with no blurriness.
3.
Additional
photos
would
be
helpful,
such
as
close
up
of
eyes,
any features, and different angles.
4.
You
must
own
the
main
photograph
or
have
permission
to
use
it
as
it
must
not
be
subject
to
copyright
issues.
So
unfortunately,
studio
photos
may
not
suitable
unless
you
can
obtain
permission
to
use
it
for
this purpose.
If
you
have
any
concerns
about
your
photos,
you
can
email
them
to
me;
I
will
then
let
you
know
if
I
am
able
to
work
with
them
and
generally,
I
would
like
your
consent
to
reproduce
images
of
your
photo
and portrait for marketing purposes.
The
portrait
will
be
on
a
beige
linen
background.
If
you
would
like
another colour, you can contact me to discuss this

A unique work of art for you
Once
we
have
decided
on
the
photo,
the
size
and
the
background
material,
I
will
send
you
a
mock-up
of
how
the
portrait
will
look
once
completed.
If
you
are
happy,
I
will
send
you
the
contract.
Once
you
sign
and
return
the
contract,
I
will
send
you
an
invoice
for
the
deposit.
You
will
then
have
a
7-day
cooling
off
period
where
either
you,
or
I
can
change
our
minds
and
you
would
get
your
deposit
back.
Once
the
7-day
period
has
gone,
I
will
send
you
a
commencement
email
which
will
give
you
an
estimated
date
of
completion.
Halfway
through
the
process,
I
will
send
you
a
photo
of
the
progress
and
you
can
talk
about
any
alterations
you
would
like
made.
Once
I
have
finished
the
portrait,
I
will
send
you
another
photo
for
you
to
approve
before
I
take
the
portrait
from
the
foam
pad.
Once
I
remove
it,
no
further
alterations
can
be
made.
I
will
then
frame
the
portrait.
You
will
then
be
required
to
pay
the
balance
on
the
portrait.
Once
this
is
done,
I
will
send
you
an
email
with
an
estimated
time
of
arrival.
Your
portrait
will
be
beautifully
gift
wrapped
and
packaged
securely.
Your
portrait will be posted to you, tracked and signed for.
